What's going on lately

2 weeks ago my brother dropped his laptop (Yes, I think he's too young for one too). We were at my grandparents' house and the computer slipped out of his hands, and landed on their wood floor. It wouldn't turn on right after he dropped it. Of course he got in big trouble, and felt bad about losing everything. We took it to the apple store, and they said it would cost about $900 to fix. He might as well buy another laptop. So, he has to raise his own money for a laptop. In the meantime, he's using my mom's laptop.

About a week later, I was on my older brother's laptop, and then suddenly it just froze. I closed it and the little apple sign on the cover of the laptop did not turn off. It just stayed white. We took it to the store too, and, similarly, they said it would cost about $1000 dollars to fix. The thing about my older brother's computer is that he always took really good care of it. His keyboard and mousepad were the cleanest out of all our computers, and he was always really careful with it. My dad felt really sick now about spending all that money for their computers to just stop working. I felt really bad for my older brother because it wasn't really his fault. Anyways, 2 days ago my dad was at his office. One of his employees was telling him that they had a spare laptop that they didn't need, and was just collecting dust, so he wanted to know if we needed it. Of course my dad took it home and gave it to my older brother as an early Christmas present. Wow. God really provides.

Around the same time as all this laptop trouble started, the top of my screen came loose and won't stand up on it's own. I have to sort of figure out a way to prop it up. Hmm...I wonder what's going on in our house with all our laptops breaking! Something fishy's going on.

To talk about other things, I had one of my Christmas concerts today. It was in a small town about an hour away from us. First we played in this little building that was supposed to be a museum. The doors were open and there were speakers out so that people passing by could hear us. We were missing some people, one kid lost his music, and other little things happened. Frankly, I don't think we sounded too good. After that we had to go to a little amphitheater down the road from the museum and play in the pre-show for a play "The Christmas Carol." It was around 40 degrees outside. Some of the people in orchestra had to go sing in choir at the same time, so we were missing even more people, including my stand partner. I didn't have a stand, since she brings hers, but somebody let me use theirs for the show. My fingers were freezing, and it was really hard to play. To top it off, there was this light that was shining really brightly in all of our eyes, and it was really hard to see the conductor and read the music. Thankfully, the conductor skipped one of the songs, so we got to go and warm our fingers early. He had skipped the last song, so when he whispered to stand up when everyone was clapping, we were all confused. When we were done, we watched a little of the play, but decided it was too cold outside, so we left. I am so thankful for car heaters and seat warmers.

I'm sorry if taking myself off your following list, made you feel like something was wrong. I've just realized I've been following too many blogs and I have to pick and choose. I just decided to go off of some of the most recent ones I was following (the bloggers I knew the least) Many of the blogs I follow are people I know personally or someone I have a lot in common with.

Taking myself off your follow list does not mean I won't ever stop by and read your blog. =)

Well, we have three laptops. Two of them quit working and our third just got a virus. I know how you feel!
