Both of my brothers are both sick. My younger brother had this weird fever that kept running about 2 weeks ago. The doctor didn't know what it was. He also had this pain in his lower abdomen, so he would walk hunch-backed. We took him back to the doctor and he still couldn't figure it out, however he did think that it could possibly be appendicitis. He said to go to the surgeon and have him look at it. He got some X-rays done and they finally realized that it really was appendicitis and that it had ruptured. That is why he had all that pain and a fever. Sooo now they have to drain out all of the yucky ruptured stuff from his stomach into this little ball. He's home now after being in the hospital for 4 days. He also has to take antibiotics every 6 hours from this little ball with the antibiotic liquid in it. It is connected to a catheter that starts from his arm and goes right above his heart. He has to have this antibiotic treatment for 3 weeks. Other than that he is doing really well.

Sick Family
My older brother also had his tonsils out last friday. His throat has been really hurting, so he's been having a lot of popsicles, milkshakes, smoothies, crushed ice, & gatorade. He can't have anything hot, even soup. So, he has to have cold everything.
Right now, I'm the only healthy kid in our house. My parents are really tired out from all of these operations and stuff, and they aren't getting that much sleep. My dad has to wake up really early to give my younger brother his antibiotics. With all of this going on, our family is doing alright. One funny thing is that when a nurse was coming to our house to show us how to do all of the antibiotics that are in the little balls and that have to go through the tube for my brother, she went up to my older brother who was lying in bed with a blanket like he was really sick and said, "Hi, honey. Can I see your tubing?" My brother just looked at her with this weird expression. Nobody said anything because we thought that she was just making conversation with him, and then we realized that she thought he was my brother that had the appendix operation. I think my younger brother's operation was kind of a little more serious than my older brother's tonsillectomy, but he was the one who looked sicker!! :D
